Gravitee, a company specializing in application programming interface (API) and event stream management, has secured $60 million in Series C funding. The financing round was led by Sixth Street Growth, with participation from Riverside Acceleration Capital and AlbionVC, bringing Gravitee’s total funding to over $125 million since its founding in 2015.

The investment is intended to support the expansion of Gravitee’s Agentic API and Event Management platform. The platform is designed to consolidate the management of APIs, real-time event streams, and AI agents within a single system. This approach addresses the increasing complexity observed in enterprise digital infrastructures, which often involve disparate tools and protocols for distinct communication types and components.

According to Gravitee, the platform enhances security, observability, and governance across these convergent systems. It supports both synchronous communication patterns, such as those leveraging REST APIs, and asynchronous, event-driven architectures. This integration aims to mitigate challenges associated with managing these components in silos, including potential security vulnerabilities and operational inefficiencies.

Rory Blundell, CEO of Gravitee, stated that modern digital systems integrating AI agents, streaming data, and hybrid architectures necessitate tools capable of managing this complexity.

Gravitee was founded in 2015 by a team with a background in open-source development and offers both open-source tools and enterprise-grade solutions. The company provides deployment flexibility, supporting on-premises, self-hosted, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) models.

The company currently serves a clientele of global enterprises, including named entities such as Michelin, Roche, Blue Yonder, Tide, Verint, and Xylem. Industry analysis firm Gartner recognized Gravitee as a Leader in its Magic Quadrant for API management in 2024. Gravitee was also included in Tech Nation’s 2025 Future Fifty list.

Michael Bauer, Managing Director at Sixth Street Growth, has joined Gravitee’s Board of Directors in connection with the funding round. Bauer cited Gravitee's approach to integrating governance and controls across APIs, event streaming, and AI agents as positioning the company to address future digital infrastructure demands.

The funding is allocated to support global expansion and ongoing product development, focusing on capabilities that address the convergence of API, event-driven, and agentic AI systems in enterprise environments.
